In ISTDP Therapy, clinical supervision is the essential building block of good practice. It is the absolute essence of ISTDP training and it remains the foundation of ongoing good practice and continuing professional development.

Habib Davanloo, the developer of ISTDP, used ground-breaking technology of the 60s and 70s to undertake rigorous video-taped clinical observation of his clinical cases so that he was able to develop his new metapsychology and its accompanying interventions. ISTDP Core Training has video analysis at its heart - we study real clinical material in real time to constantly improve our effectiveness and to address any difficulties.

I offer individual and group supervision to psychologists, psychotherapists and counsellors. For those training in or practitioners of ISTDP this will be based on video presentation of clinical cases. For others such as psychoanalytic/psychodynamic therapists, this can be offered using written and shared process notes.

Fee for Clinical Supervision:

Core Trainees: £90 per hour

Qualified Practitioners: £100 per hour.

For supervision groups which include didactics plus supervision of clinical cases (2.5-3 hours) £100 per person.

For supervision groups without didactics i.e., supervision of case material only: (1-2 hours): £75 per person.
